The short version. This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. If you subscribe, we keep your name, company and email so we can send the report, and nothing else. We never sell data. People named in our reports can ask to be removed.

    1. Who is responsible

Groundwork is operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME], [COUNTRY] ("we", "us"). Contact: groundworkbids@gmail.com.

    2. Visiting this website

    • No cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts. The site does not track you.
    • Like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use this data to identify or profile visitors.
    • Everything on the page, including the map and fonts, is served from our own domain. The site makes no requests to other companies.

    3. Subscribers and people who email us

When you email us or subscribe, we collect what you send: typically your name, company, email address and any message. If you become a paying subscriber, our payment processor, Stripe, collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your billing name, email, address and whether payments succeeded, but never your full card or bank account number.

We use this information only to deliver the service, reply to you, handle billing, and meet legal obligations. We rely on what's needed to perform our agreement with you and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the service.

    Subscriber portal

Subscribers sign in to the portal with their email address and a password, which we store only in scrambled (hashed) form. What you save in the portal (stars, pipeline stages, notes, tasks, places, zones and settings) is stored with your account at our hosting provider so it follows you between devices, together with any support cases you open. You can download or clear your saved work at any time in Settings → Data & sync.

    4. People named in our reports

Our reports include business information taken from public records, such as the names, companies, business phone numbers and business email addresses of developers, architects, engineers and other professionals listed in government filings. We include this so that businesses can find and bid on construction work, a use tied to why these records are public.

If you appear in a report and would like your details removed from future reports, email us and we'll remove them within 10 business days. Removing them from our reports doesn't remove them from the original government records.

    5. Sharing

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (email, hosting and payment providers), under their own security and privacy commitments, or when required by law.

    6. How long we keep it

Subscriber information is kept while you subscribe and for up to 24 months afterwards (longer only if the law requires it, for example for billing records). Emails from people who didn't subscribe are deleted within 12 months.

    7. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS with strict security headers, runs no third-party code and exposes no databases to the internet. The subscriber portal is only reachable after email sign-in. Subscriber data is kept in accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.

    8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you, at any time by writing to groundworkbids@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example in the EU/UK, or US states such as California), and you may complain to your local data-protection authority. We will respond within 30 days.

    9. Marketing emails

If we email your business about Groundwork, every message identifies us, includes a mailing address and lets you opt out by replying. We honor opt-outs promptly and permanently.

    10. Children

The service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.

    11. Changes

We'll post any update here and change the effective date. If a change is significant, we'll email subscribers.
